Nigerian songwriter,reggae ,dance-hall Nnaemeka Okorie (Patoranking) was born in Ijegun-Egbe in 1990.He grew up deeply submerged in the music of Buju Banton,Tuface,Lucky Dube Fela Kuti, and other greatsof reggae,Afro-beat, and dance-hall, Patoranking channelled these greats of reggae, into his own unique style and began releasing original music in 2012,

also drawing on the effects of Nigerian Fuji music for his earliest single. In 2014, after a sequence of lower-profile singles,patoranking signed to Foston Musik and released the “Girlie O” single.The song was a success but went on to brood a hit remix a few months later with vocals by Tiwa Savage.Girlie O remix helped draw attention to patoranking’s music, and his collection grew over the next few years,with various singles and a swing of guest appearances on songs by other artists,including vocal spots on Seyi Shey’s hit “Murda”, Khuli Chana’s “No lie”, and many others.

In early 2016 Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie joined on as one of the judges for the freshly launched Televised singing competition, The Voice collaboration with Sarkodi,Elephant Man and others, his debut full-length, God over everything, arrived later that year and debuted at number four on billboard’s Reggae Albums charts.patorankinf continued to release singles throughout the nexg tow years, including “love You Die” featuring Diamond Platnumz, and was also featured on Major lazer’s “Particula”. In the year 2019(May), Patrick issued his sophomore album on his own label, Amari Musiq, named after his newborn daughter and featuring her on its cover, Wilmer included the single “confirm” which he featured Davido and “lene lenge and reached number five on the billboard Reggae Albums
